Treating weight related disease costs the U.S. $147 billion

According to an article posted Monday on msnbc.com, the cost of treating obesity related illness is nearly double what it was just 10 years ago. The article states that new research shows that medical spending for an obese person is on average $1,400 more than for a person of average weight.
